Wow. This is the most unbelievable thing I've heard in a long time. Some people can actually remember every moment of their lives. Blessing or curse?

Superior autobiographical memory is the ability to remember events and dates that have occurred in one's past that would be nearly impossible for other's to remember. There are only 6 people known to have superior autobiographical memory and Marilu Henner, an actress, has recently been featured on 60 minutes for having this extremely rare ability.

ReplyDeleteI saw a story about another woman that had this ability and she was really depressed because she could vividly remember every bad thing that had ever happened to her, and she thought about them often. Perhaps forgetfullness is one way humans have of coping with painful memories.

ReplyDeleteJust thought of this: What about a person that has their parents killed at a young age, is raped by a gorilla and a sadistic zoo keeper tries to feed them to the lions. Worst of all they remember everything about it. THat would suck!
